Dee Baker as Captain Rex
Who is this? Actor Dee Bradley Baker
What is this? An autographed 2008 Topps Star Wars Clone Wars sticker
Where'd I get it? I wrote to Baker through his agent and asked him to sign it. It took almost two years, but I got it back last month.
How much did it cost? The sticker came out of a $2 pack bought at Target
Why is this so special? I hate to admit it, but I find the Clone Wars cartoon almost more entertaining than the modern Star Wars film trilogy.
Baker, a veteran voice actor, plays Anakin's clone Captain Rex, Obi-Wan's clone Captain Cody and all of the other clone troopers in the show. He's played roles in shows as diverse as American Dad, Batman: The Brave and the Bold and Ben 10.
He's got a surprisingly legible autograph. Here is a sticker of the clone troopers that he signed for me.

Jar-Jar Binks Postcard signed by Ahmed Best
Who is this? Jar-Jar Binks, voiced by actor Ahmed Best
What is this? An autographed 8x10 postcard of Jar-Jar Binks from Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
Where'd I get it? I got it signed at the Big Apple Comic Con
How much did it cost? $25.
Why is this so special? I grew up with the original Star Wars films, and I was disappointed by the prequel trilogy. However, in the 10+ years since The Phantom Menace was originally released, it has grown on me.
Love him or hate him, Jar-Jar Binks is a big part of that film. Until recently, Best had stayed away from the convention circuit. I can't blame him, really - Jar-Jar provokes a strong reaction in people. I'm glad that he's giving it a shot again now.
Ahmed Best's autograph is about as legible as your typical modern baseball player's.
Tomorrow, I'll get back to posting baseball autographs. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the break.

Matt Wood
Who is this? Matt Wood, a Hollywood sound editor and sometime voice actor
What is this? A photo of General Grievous, the half-alien, half-robot commander of the Trade Federation droid army in Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Where'd I get it? I got the photo from OfficialPix, and I mailed it to Wood at an address that can be found online.
How much did it cost? Between postage and the cost of the photo, around $8 or $9.
Why is this so special? I grew up with Star Wars -- The Empire Strikes Back is the first movie I remember seeing in the theater. While the new movies don't hold the same place in my heart, it was fun to re-capture a little piece of my childhood again.
I loved all of the aliens and the droids when I was a kid, and I still do. Of the three new villains created for the prequel trilogy, Grievous was the coolest. Sure, Darth Maul had the cool tatoos and the double-bladed lightsaber, but Grievous could handle four lightsabers at one time!
I met Wood at a comic convention in New York a few years ago, and he seemed like a pleasant guy. He took the time to talk to everybody who lined up for his autograph, and he even did the General Grievous voice for some kids who asked.
Wood's signature isn't the most legible in the world, but he certainly made up for it by personalizing the photo and including a quote and his character name.
